Supporting Students In Aiken

DR. JUDD AND RHS HEALTH PROFESSIONALS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is offered to one student in the Aiken community who plans to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. The selection of the winning recipient is based on their school activities, positions of leadership, special honors and awards, community involvement, academic performance, and professional pursuits.

General Eligibility Requirements:

  • Incoming Freshman/First-Year College Student
  • Be successfully admitted to a university.
  • Plan to enroll in a degree that pertains to the health care industry.
  • Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0.
  • Must be local to Aiken County or surrounding areas or went to high school in the Aiken County Public School District.

ABOUT DR. JUDD

Dr. Judd has spent the last 50+ years in medical research, education, and direct patient care. He earned his B.S., M.S., Ph.D., and MD degrees. He has provided voluntary dermatologic care for patients at RHS for the past five years. This scholarship with RHS is his contribution to the Aiken community for which he calls home.

Our mission is to provide accessible, quality, comprehensive primary healthcare services in a dignified and culturally-competent manner to the population in Aiken County and surrounding areas.

No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay; there is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income.

Rural Health Services is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). This health center receives HHS funding and has federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
